Changhong’s H2 Smartphone – The Future of Food Scanners

The Scio molecular identification technology is the newest innovation in the world of food scanners and diet apps.  Using spectroscopy sensing techniques and cloud computing, Changhong (a Chinese tech company) has released a new smartphone (the H2) capable of determining the sweetness of apples, the carbs in a piece of cake, and even the authenticity of a Viagra pill.

The technology, shown at CES 2017 in Las Vegas, was developed by Consumer Physics and refined in partnership with Analog Devices (ADI) and allows the H2 to scan and determine the molecular authenticity of objects.
